Published yesterday, The Sunday Times Food List the top 100 restaurants in the UK.
Compiled by UK restaurants guide publisher Harden’s using the reports of genuine diners, this year more than 8,000 people submitted more than 80,000 restaurant reports. The Sunday Times’ rankings are based solely on the food the restaurant serves, though the scores for ambience were used in the event of a tie.
Only three restaurants from Birmingham made it onto the list:
59th Simpsons 86th Purnell’s 97th Turners.
Other findings from the Sunday Times Food List include that half of the top 100 restaurants are outside London (up from 40% last year) Asian restaurants have fallen by half and there are 31 new entries.
