Malmaison Birmingham will host a Valdivieso wine dinner next week, on Tuesday 8th May.
Carmen Richards has been working for Valdivieso in the UK for a few years now and will give guests a fantastic insight into her native Chile. She will tell them about Valdivieso’s winemaker, laid back New Zealander, Brett Jackson who is very much settled in Chile and much of Valdivieso’s success in recent years has been down to his efforts. Based in Lontue, the company has a wealth of vineyards and the quality of the terroir is shown by the Single Vineyard wines. The whole range encapsulates everything that Chile excels at rich, vibrant flavours and smooth, glossy textures – and the wines deserve the multitude of gongs for the awards they have picked up in recent years.
Head chef Brian Neath has created a stunning menu for the evening, which includes seared red thai spiced salmon with crispy noodle salad, braised rump of beef in red winewith pommery mustard creamed potato and plum tart tatin with yoghurt sorbet.
I’m really looking forward to it!
