Congratulations to Rob Hatwell at the Rose & Crown in Warwick for winning the Craft Guild Pub Restaurant Chef of the Year. 28 year old Rob has been at the popular gastropub for eighteen months, which has also just celebrated its 10th birthday.

In Stratford, chef Wayne Thomson from Number 9, reached the semi finals of the Craft Guild National Chef of the Year category with his menu of wild sea bass three ways, rump of lamb with elephant garlic, spiced aubergine and fresh peas and mint, Pimm’s and summer berry jelly with poached meringues and pink pralines.

Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth is celebrating Euro 2012 with a special menu of meals and matching drinks from the competing nations. From Danish smoked sausages to Portugese salt cod stew, the menu is just £12.95.
