Tonight a local café, The Nook on the Square in Dunchurch, will feature on BBC2’s The Restaurant Man, in the last programme of the series.
Sisters Kate James and Alex Woodcock opened The Nook on the Square in January, when Kate decided to turn the downstairs of her house into a 32 seat café.
Serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas, including a signature breakfast of Gloucester old spot sausage, bacon, local free range egg, chestnut mushrooms, black pudding and roasted tomato on sourdough from the local Revel Bakery for £6.95.
Lunch options, like the homemade squash and goats cheese quiche is served with celeriac and apple slaw and salad. ‘Pizzettes’ for the little ones are served with carrot and cucumber sticks and Maltesers are popped onto your hot chocolate.
