A royal makeover for the Kings Arms in Knowle

I missed the press preview for the opening of The Kings Arms in Knowle, as it fell over the Bank Holiday weekend. Looking at the photos from the PR agency, it looks like I have another pub to add to my long list of those to visit!

The Kings Arms

Russell Mason, landlord, says: “We’ve really focussed on retaining and restoring the charm of the original pub, and have introduced some lovely talking points into it, including our menu serving traditional home-made British recipes in a beautiful canal-side setting.”

The extensive outdoor seating, herb garden, elegant dining room and luxurious bar are temptation enough, before you even get to the food menu.

Deli boards with charcuterie, pickled vegetables, corned salt-beef, ham hock and Aspall’s Cyder terrine with piccalilli and the malted milk crème brûlée with home-baked butter biscuits are already on my wish list.
