Sometimes inspiration can strike in the funniest places when creating a new recipe. For bar tender Robert Wood from The Edgbaston it was lurking in the back of a store cupboard.

Bird’s Custard has proved to be the magic ingredient for Robert when creating a new cocktail that summed up the great city.His award winning cocktail Local Legend contains Langleys No.6 Gin, lemon, local honey, cream distillate, toffee distillate plus a dash of Tahitian vanilla extract with Birmingham’s home made flavour.
