In less than a fortnight, you could be sitting down to a very special Supper Club.
For Saturday 20 December the regular Kitchen School chef Chris Hughes is handing over to the Masterchef Professionals finalist and home-grown talent Claire Hutchings!
Claire trained in Culinary Arts at UCB and worked under Andreas Antona at Simpson’s before entering the TV show in 2011. She is currently working in Mallorca at the Michelin starred restaurant Zaranda, but will be back in Birmingham for Christmas and this exclusive pop-up. Guests will be served the following menu –
Snacks – carrot macaroons with chicken liver parfait, spiced honey sable with flamed sobrassada parsnip crisps with smoked dip, jamon croquettes and truffled arancini balls
Crispy chicken with salt baked celeriac, hazelnut and burnt pear
Scallop ceviche with almond, apple, white truffle oil
BBQ Ox with potato, leek, red wine shallots and smoky glaze
Mascarpone with basil, strawberry and red wine sorbet
Chocolate with vanilla ice cream, salt caramel sauce, crispy bacon and onion
From 7.30 – 10.30pm guests can enjoy a welcome drink and canapés, a 20 minute demonstration of one of the courses, a five course meal cooked by Claire plus wine matched to each course, all for £80. Tickets will go quickly so check here for availability and bookings.
