A jammy new Bitters ‘n’ Twisted opening

The Bitters ‘n’ Twisted family is getting ready to launch Marmalade– a new bistro and bar at The REP in Centenary Square next month.

Marmalade will offer a two course pre-theatre menu for £15.95 and £19.95 for three courses, plus light lunches and bar snacks to eat.

Expect dishes like baked plaice fillet, sweet potato, pea and coconut curry, free range pork ribeye and plum compote with almond crumble and vanilla bean custard, to be served alongside wines, local ales, craft bottle beers and a range of cocktails.

Matt Scriven said “Marmalade will be something really special and a new direction for the Bitters ‘n’ Twisted family.  The team here have all worked hard to launch something welcoming and exciting that has a different style and feel to our other venues, but one that is still fuelled by our passion for great food, great drinks and great service.”

He added  “I thought the name Marmalade helped invoke a feeling of warmth and cuddliness with maybe a bit of quirkiness – all aspects which we are looking to introduce with the new operation.”
