Just the tonic

At the risk of becoming gin-obsessed, I have added three new gin events to February’s calendar. I could not resist the Be’GINers course at The Plough or #Ginsessions at the Jewellery Quarter’s gin palace 40 St Pauls and producers’ talks hosted by Nomad.

Be’GIN’ers Course
The Plough, Harborne, Birmingham

Hosted by the Gintleman, Birminghams leading Gin expert,  in collaboration with the renowned Plough in Harborne and their fantastic new 20 seater Private Dining and meeting space “Next Door”. This 90 minute session from 7 – 9.30pm starts with a complimentary G&T on arrival followed by a whistlestop history of gin, past, present and future sampling four unique gins reflecting the variety of styles available. Sampled neat then creating boutique gin and tonics using customised garnishes, by the end of the session you will have a greater understanding and confidence about gin for £28. #Ginsessions Gin & food-matching
40 St Paul’s Square, Birmingham

Join 40 St. Paul’s and the Nomad team to explore food matching with a variety of exciting and distinctive gins.  Guests will share a guided tasting of cheese, chocolate and coffee alongside gin, with experts from all those fields.  Nomad will also provide a selection of canapes and snacks for the evening, which will be a social and relaxed affair.The evening runs from 7 – 10pm and costs £22 tickets via eventbrite

#Ginsessions offers a lazy Sunday gin experience.  From 5 – 8.30pm Nomad will be hosting five incredible gin producers alongside industry experts, historians and academics, who will be there to present a programme of talks.  Producers will also be on hand to share their products on tasting, as well as incredible #ginsessions prices for stocking up on your new favourite gin.  We will be offering a series of master classes, demonstrations and workshops on gin, as well as bar snacks/ tapas based on wild British ingredients and experimental cocktails.  A free event but book your place on eventbrite
