Around the world in ten trips

March 2016 events

My top picks for food and drink events are now live on the March Events page, where you will find a feast of cuisines to try.

For their first supper club, expect some chili heat from South American and Mexican dishes from Whisk & Ladle in Warwick.

As part of Selfridges Tastes Tastes of Japan promotion, Masterchef winner Tim Anderson is preparing a special three course dinner,  of or you could do it yourself and learn how to make perfect sushi with Japanese street food pop-up Pika Pika.

Night & Day Markets aims to transport you from the heart of Digbeth to the Thai night markets in a  new event  from the seasonal markets team.

What better place to learn about the different types of rum than The Cuban Embassy? Or tango your way to an Argentine feast at Fiesta del Asado.

If you want to watch a celebrity chef in action, James Martin has a new show ‘Plates, Mates and Automobiles’ which will be making a pit stop at Symphony Hall. Modern British dishes will also be on the menu at The Star & Garter’s new Spring Menu launch in Leamington.

As its Easter there are a couple of chocolate related events that I had to include in this month’s round-up.  First is a new Chocolate Festival at Fargo Village, Coventry where among the 75 chocolate treats to try will be a chocolate lovers afternoon tea party. There is also a Mad Hatters Tea Party at the Ardencote Hotel to treat the kids to.

But I’ve saved the best till last – a truly interactive experience at The Electric cinema who are celebrating Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory 45th anniversary with a very special screening. Guests will try some of the marvellously wondrous treats found in Willy Wonka’s factory itself, as interpreted by Conjurer’s Kitchen.
