The Royal Shakespeare Company’s new Head Pastry Chef Bogdan Alexe, is giving sweet-toothed fans a treat in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Bogdan is heading-up the company’s Riverside Cafe, afternoon tea and Rooftop Restaurant pudding menus. He will also lead the RSC’s brand new cafe at The Other Place when it opens in March.
Bogdan said: “Like the theatre, cooking is about giving people an experience and I am delighted to be tempting visitors with a brand new range of cake loafs, cookies and brownies.”
New loaf cakes at the Riverside Cafe include an orange marmalade and elderflower version; a rich chocolate and pistachio confection; a sticky dark ginger variety; the classic lemon drizzle and an Earl Grey tea-infused one. I’ll have a slice of each please!
Stop press: Also joining the RSC’s brigade is Christopher Short (formerly Head Chef at Ettingham Park Hotel and Essence restaurant) as Executive Head Chef.
