Leamington’s Restaurant 23 celebrates a decade of fine dining

Being a chef and having to make your own birthday cake  – where is the fun in that? Luckily for Peter Knibb it won’t be a chore, as he celebrates a decade of fine dining in Leamington Spa with Restaurant 23.

It was in the spring of 2006 that local chef Peter, his wife Antje (pictured above) and brother Rob opened the doors of their first restaurant at 23 Dormer Place, to showcase the finest seasonal and local produce with innovative dishes.

When they outgrew this property Restaurant 23 moved to the grand, Georgian townhouse in Hamilton Terrace, which comfortably houses a dining room, two private rooms, cocktail bar and patio terrace.

Peter says: “It only seems like yesterday that we opened the doors at 23 Dormer Place. We have come such a long way since then. As a business we would not be here if was not for our very loyal customers, so I thank them all so much for their long and valued support. I really appreciate this and hope it continues in the years to come. I also can’t fail to mention all of our employee’s past and present, their dedication has helped make Restaurant 23 all it is today.”
