Hereford Food & Drink Festival
Hereford Racecourse, Roman Road, Hereford
With chef demos from Jean Christophe-Novelli and Masterchef 2016 winner Jane Devonshire plus more than 30 food and drink traders (many local to Hereford) the racecourse will be packed full of tasty treats to eat and buy. Admission £7 for adults, £3.50 for kids to buy at the entrance, as online pre-ticket sales have finished.

Brazilian Cookery Classes

A month of Brazillian cookery classes featuring signature dishes. Thursday 6 July Fraudinh – Brazilian steak with garlic rice, farofa and vinaigrette salad. Thursday 13 July Bacalhau – three ways to cook salted cod with delicious accompaniments. Thursday 20 July Feijoad – black bean stew, cooked with five meats and sausages. Served with garlic rice, farofa, orange, spring greens and the Brazilian cocktail Caipirinha. Thursday 27 July Empadao de Frango – short pastry with creamy chicken and a tropical salad. Each class runs from 6.30 – 8.30pm and costs £50 each or £155 for all four.

Regional Cuisine Dinner

Once a month the restaurant offers a culinary tour of South India, with a banquet of dishes including grilled salmon pollichato, coorg pan-roast chicken, lamb chettinado, mini dosa pancakes and Goan layered cake with rose petal ice cream. The Unami banquet is priced £29.95 or £32.95 with paired wines.

Introduction to North American Wines

James Thewlis hosts this new tasting event at Spit Wine School. With most states in America producing their own wine, this is a chance to learn more about Pinot Noir from Oregon, Reisling from Niagra and some Canadian ice wine too. Tickets are £25, the evening starts at 7pm.

Warwick Court Leet Beer, Cider and Music Festival
Warwick Race Course, Warwick
A weekend to sample some excellent locally brewed beer and cider – all in the name of raising money for Warwick Charities. This year there will be 80 beers and more than 40 ciders to choose from, live music and hot food available. Free soft drinks for all drivers and £5 admission includes a commemorative glass
