Sexy Fish takeover

Birmingham’s glamorous cocktail bar is being taken over by London’s Sexy Fish for a night. In a mini tour, they will be presenting a snapshot of 35 of their 415 bottles of Japanese whiskies – reputedly the largest collection in the world – to create a bespoke cocktails menu.

Shrewsbury-based chef and founder of Sass In The Kitchen blog Antigone Mulford is hosting two pop-up nights this month. Antigone will be serving an Italian Venetian-inspired menu of tapas-style small plates includes Aperol cocktails on arrival, nduja arancini, duck and porcini Polpette, pork belly with pickled radicchio, a trio of desserts and a number of other Venetian delicacies. A real treat for those with a sweet tooth, local bakers Caking and Baking will be serving five delicious sweet courses, from rocky road cheesecake to sticky ginger parkin in an evening dedicated to desserts with a Prosecco cocktail on arrival.

30 exhibitors wine talks and masterclasses all in one space, in a relaxed environment to learn and enjoy all types of wine. Around 250 wines to taste and talks with wine celebrities from ITV and BBC.

Love Cheese? Love Wine? Why not come along to this workshop and learn more about the best cheese and wine pairings to enjoy at home. During the evening you will try six different cheese and wine combinations. Professional ISO tasting glasses and all tasting materials including tasting sheets are provided as are water biscuits, oatcakes and table water.
