September diary dates

Shipston Food Festival

September is nearly over, but there is still time to catch the Seafood Festival at The Granville in Barford that starts on Tuesday. On Thursday there is an Argentine Wine Tasting at The Leamington Wine Company and the Shipston Food Festival is on Sunday. You can find details for these on the Events page.

I’m currently researching events for October, which I will add to the blog next week. If you would like to recommend a festival, tasting, opening or dinner then please let me know midlandsgourmetgirl@gmail.com

2012 Warwickshire and Worcestershire Life Food & Drink Awards Winners

Congratulations to all of the winners (and finalists) who are showing just how fantastic the range of food and drink in our region is.

On winning the award for Best Newcomer, Blue Bistro owner Peter Dunkley said:”I’m absolutely delighted with the award. For any restaurant, reaching the first year is a real milestone and to win Newcomer of the Year tops off all the hard work that Emilie, Sarah and the whole team have put in to making Blue a success. It will also spur us on to greater things!”
