So what food and drink events are on the horizon for February?
Celebrate the end of the British game season with the The Star and Garter in Leamington Spa.
Spice up your taste buds with a North Indian food festival in Birmingham with Lasan, or slap your thighs to the oompah band at Coombe Abbey’s Bavarian Night.
Continue the Chinese New Year celebrations at The Oriental with their wine matching dinner, join the old world versus new world debate at Hotel du Vin, or bubble into the weekend with the Friday Fizz birthday party at The Leamington Wine Company.
The choice is yours!
November events start with a bang at Coombe Abbey’s Gunpowder Gala.
In Birmingham you could be quaffing wine with Olly Smith at the Hotel du Vin or port at Opus restaurant.
The Leamington Wine Company will be getting into the festive spirit with their Christmas tasting of over 100 wines while at Hill Top Farm the party continues for their 10th anniversary.
For a pop-up with a difference there are Japanese burgers in Kings Heath and an Italian deli in Moseley. The last event for the month is the UK’s biggest food show from BBC Good Food Show Winter at the NEC. More details on the Events page.
September is nearly over, but there is still time to catch the Seafood Festival at The Granville in Barford that starts on Tuesday. On Thursday there is an Argentine Wine Tasting at The Leamington Wine Company and the Shipston Food Festival is on Sunday. You can find details for these on the Events page.
I’m currently researching events for October, which I will add to the blog next week. If you would like to recommend a festival, tasting, opening or dinner then please let me know email@example.com
With a farmers market and annual food festival, Leamington Spa is quite rightly showing off its great local produce, chefs and restaurants. I hope that my guide, on the Destinations page, helps you navigate eating and drinking at some of my favourite venues in this compact spa town.
