Very exciting news for the 2021 City of Culture – Michelin star chef Glynn Purnell is to open a new restaurant in Coventry!
Set in the coach house adjoining Coventry Charterhouse, Glynn’s new eaterie will serve both a la carte and tasting menus in a ground floor restaurant and first floor bar. Restoration work on the historic building begins in the summer.
Still in the city, the countdown has begun for the Coventry Beer Festival which takes place this weekend (Friday 15 and Saturday 16 March). There will be more than 75 beers, ciders, perries and country wines on offer for those who attend the CAMRA organised festival at the Butts Park Arena from noon to 11pm.
Over in Leamington, the Cellar Club bar on the Parade has collaborated with another local business – The Meat Room – to create a new snack for diners. The Cellar Sausage is packed with pork, mozzerella, spinach and Cajun spices. Photo credit: Leamington Courier
