Fill up on Father’s Day

Spoil your Dad on Father’s Day with a gourmet gift (or two!) from my top tips, which are all available locally here in Warwickshire.

1 A sizzling steak

2 Chocoholics dream

If he has a sweet tooth, how about a triple chocolate brownie? Leamington Spa’s award-winning Blue Basil Brownies have created a new delicious chocolate truffle brownie traybake and nestled it inside a Father’s Day art sleeved gift box. 3 Father’s Day goody bag

The Malt Kiln Farm Shop has created a goody bag full of treats. Presented in a jute bag, contents include three of the Purity Brewing Company’s finest ales; UBU, Gold and Mad Goose, some moreish Asian Peking seaweed crisps from The Scottish Seaweed Co., Bombay mix with cashews and a 100g Gnaw chocolate bar. 4 Father’s Day feast

Start his day right with a Farmers Breakfast, or tuck into a Posh Up Ploughmans or full Sunday roast at Farmers Fayre in Stoneleigh, followed by a shopping spree in the farm shop to earn extra brownie points. There is a wide choice of beers, wines, ales and ciders to choose from.

5 Real ale fan

You can grab a gift packs of either two or three bottles of real ale from the Warwickshire Beer Company from the brewery on Wednesday and Saturday, or via nine local stockists across the county, which include Gallachers Wine Merchants in Rugby and Oakes Farm Shop in Coventry.

6 Tasting tour

For something to do, how about theNapton Cidery tasting tour. Here guests are taken through the cider-making process and invited to sample six recipes, whilst also enjoying a Ploughman’s supper supplied by Napton Village Stores for £22.
